So ever since that little jammy thing I had on Saturday night I really want to start a band back up.
What I wanted to do is start something that does pop punk covers of songs that are totally out of the pop-punk genre. or in it and totally change the feel of the song.
Something along the lines of what Lounge Against The Machine does to songs, but pop punk style. We can also do originals, but mostly it’s the out of genre covers I really want to do.
Alright so I get my electricity from PPL.
While that is annoying that I can’t buy from anyone else, I find their online tools really cool and interesting to use.
Take for example:
This shows how the weather outside affects the use of electricity. Notice when the green line dips down our electricity shoots up? Cool.
Now they have you fill out a long survey to gauge what kind of house you live in. Then they compare your energy usage to those who have the same kind of house.
Also cool.
There are a lot of other graphs and stuff to play around with. Like how does my house use this energy?
And there is also an energy calculator to determine if you are using something that is inefficient.
While all this is cool, I wish I had a lower bill.
While it is awesome and huge and large. There was a frozen (blue) pixel. UGH.
I spent an hour on the phone with DELL only to find I need 7 or more pixels to be messed up to return it. bleh.
I’m trying to run the little u-pixel thinger to take it away so hopefully I can unfreeze it.
In other news, I think I might be pushing my students too hard without as much information as they need. I think I might be leaving to much up to their self figuring out.
I might have to pull back on the full steam ahead into coding part of my lecture. Hopefully I can get some guidance.
Oh and here is nice ‘Promo’ poster of my Airsoft Team that I made. I took the photos too:
Also I got a KART M14 EBR:
While it is totally awesome. The internals are crappy, so I will turn it into a designated Marksmen Rifle as soon as the internals explode. Oh might I add its freakin 17 lbs!! lol.
So I started class tonight.
I took the day off because I was so nervous! haha.
Here is the website: http://www.art346.com
It’s Interactive Design, Art 346
I have 6 students, so its not to bad. I let them out early tonight, mostly because I went through all the material that I needed to go over. On Thursday we are diving in.
Wish I had a little guidance. haha. but I think I am doing ok so far.
and to those of you who I told you of my dream, no, they didn’t gang up on me and lock me in the printer closet. lol.
Alright so I have moved from editing my airsoft videos in Windows Movie Maker mostly because you can not layer audio or video. There is one timeline and you can not do much with it.
So, now I edit in Adobe Premier. OMG, learning curve like woah. It took me a few hours just to figure out the controls.
So now I want to purchase an HD video camera for a production I will be doing with my airsoft team. (Yep, its a Zombie movie) and it will be so much better than Zombie Strippers, the only thing that that movie had going for it was hot women. + I need a good video camera for Belize in March!
I will be writing up a few scripts and things for the production and hopefully, I can have a good movie together. Just another thing that I am interested in… ugh, I’m so medicore at so many different things, I just can’t focus on one thing!! lol.
Alright, so those of you who remember back in May of 2004 I wanted to start a workout schedule to loose some weight that I had gained Freshman year, ‘Buff in the basement’ as you will. So my goal was to drop to 145 lbs. from 187 lbs. and I successfully did it.
187 lbs - Summer 2004
(this next picture might be disturbing — You’ve been warned)
I’m learning actual JavaScript now, since I have been using jQuery as a crutch (a very good one I might add), but I really didn’t know how real JavaScript worked. IE, prototypes, objects, etc…
So as my first project in JavaScript I ported the php date(); function over!
